Cancellation Policy

The Berkshire Gardener complies with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, based on ordered items, the customer has a 14-day cooling off period in which to cancel their order request. Should you choose to exercise this right then please speak to a member of our team or our head office on 01242 387995.

Should you wish to cancel prior to delivery speak to a member of the team or Head Office on 01242 387995. Any special made or bespoke orders will not be able to be cancelled or refunded once manufactured.

Should your product have been delivered and you have simply changed your mind, collection charges will apply. You will not receive a refund on your goods until the items have been received back and inspected to assess the suitability for resale.

All items must be in their original packaging in an unused condition. Once you have notified the Company on returning your order, you have a duty of care of the products, and they must not be used while you organise a return.

Returns & Refunds

The Berkshire gardener prides itself on selling high quality products, which we hope our customers thoroughly enjoy.

We understand there may be some instances where you wish to return a product for various reasons for a refund or exchange.

We ask that you check your products carefully prior to leaving the Garden Centre, as some discrepancies may not be able to be rectified after you have the left the store. It is recommended to keep your receipt for future reference, as you may need this for proof of purchase for any after sales enquiries.

The Berkshire Gardener reserves the right to ask for ‘proof of purchase’ to consider a refund request or product replacement within its terms. The Companies refund policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Returns with a receipt.

We are happy to issue a full refund or exchange (excluding food items) where the product is returned to The Berkshire Gardener in its original packaging and a sellable condition within 30 days of purchase.

Returns without a receipt.

In the event where no proof of purchase can be presented, the company will investigate the transaction. If we can establish proof of purchase and providing the item has been returned within 30 days from point of sale, and in a resalable condition, the company will issue a credit note or exchange for a similar priced item. No refunds will be issued unless an agreed authorisation by a Manager.

Refunds over the phone.

For items purchased and paid for instore, no refunds will be authorised or processed via the phone, for security purposes and to be able to see proof of purchase.

Faulty Products

In the unlikely event that one of our products develops a fault, please contact the Garden centre. We will either exchange the product or offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase. If the fault occurs after 30 days, then the products manufacturers warranty will prevail.
